We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.

This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services offered on it by Liss Products V.O.F. The effective date of this policy is 19/09/2023; when a new version is published, all previous versions cease to be valid. This privacy policy describes what data we collect about you, what this data is used for, and with whom and under what conditions this data may be shared with third parties. We also explain how we store your data, how we protect your data against misuse, and what rights you have regarding the personal data you have provided to us.

About data processing

Below you can read how we process your data, where we store (or have it stored), which security techniques we use, and who has access to the data.

Webshop software and web hosting

Shopify

Our webshop is built on Shopify's software and is also hosted by Shopify. Personal data that you make available to us for our services is shared with this party. Shopify has access to your data in order to provide us with (technical) support; they will never use your data for any other purpose. Under the agreement we have entered into with them, Shopify is required to take appropriate security measures, including the use of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. Shopify uses cookies to collect technical information about your use of the website. To the extent that Shopify engages (sub-)processors outside the European Economic Area, appropriate safeguards such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses apply.

Email and mailing lists

Klaviyo

We send our email newsletters and automated marketing emails (such as abandoned-cart reminders) using Klaviyo. Klaviyo will never use your name and email address for its own purposes. At the bottom of every automated email sent via our website, you will find an "unsubscribe" link. You will then no longer receive our newsletter. Your personal data is stored securely by Klaviyo. Klaviyo uses cookies and other internet technologies that make it possible to see whether emails are opened and read.

Gmail

We use Gmail's services for our regular business email correspondence. This party has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent misuse, loss and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. Gmail does not have access to our mailbox, and we treat all our email correspondence as confidential.

Payment processors

Shopify Payments

We use Shopify Payments to process payments in our webshop. Shopify Payments processes your name, address and city details, and your payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. Shopify Payments has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. All of the safeguards mentioned above regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of Shopify Payments' services for which they engage third parties. Shopify Payments does not retain your data for longer than permitted by the applicable statutory periods.

Reviews

Judge.me

We collect reviews via the Judge.me platform. If you leave a review, you are required to provide your name and email address. Judge.me shares this data with us so that we can link the review to your order. In some cases, Judge.me may contact you to ask for clarification on your review, or to invite you to leave a review after placing an order. Judge.me has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. All of the safeguards mentioned above regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of the service for which Judge.me engages third parties.

Shipping and logistics

PostNL

When you place an order with us, it is our job to have your parcel delivered to you. We use PostNL's services to carry out deliveries. To do so, it is necessary for us to share your name, address and city details with PostNL. PostNL only uses this data to carry out the agreement. If PostNL engages subcontractors, PostNL also makes your data available to those parties.

DHL

When you place an order with us, it is our job to have your parcel delivered to you. We use DHL's services to carry out deliveries. To do so, it is necessary for us to share your name, address and city details with DHL. DHL only uses this data to carry out the agreement. If DHL engages subcontractors, DHL also makes your data available to those parties.

Invoicing and bookkeeping

MoneyBird

We use MoneyBird's services to maintain our records and bookkeeping. We share your name, address and city details, and details relating to your order. This data is used to administer sales invoices. Your personal data is transmitted and stored securely; MoneyBird has taken the necessary technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorised use. MoneyBird is bound to confidentiality and will treat your data confidentially. MoneyBird does not use your personal data for purposes other than those described above.

External sales channels

Bol.com

We sell (some of) our products via the Bol.com platform. If you place an order via this platform, Bol.com shares your order and personal data with us. We use this data to process your order. We treat your data confidentially and have taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorised use.

Purpose of data processing

General purpose of processing

We use your data solely for the purpose of our services. This means that the purpose of the processing is always directly related to the order you place with us. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us and we use this data to contact you at a later time — other than at your request — we will explicitly ask for your consent to do so. Your data is not shared with third parties, other than to comply with bookkeeping and other administrative obligations. All these third parties are bound to confidentiality under their agreement with us, an oath, or a statutory obligation.

Automatically collected data

Data automatically collected by our website is processed for the purpose of further improving our services. This data (for example, your IP address, web browser and operating system) does not constitute personal data.

Cooperation with tax and criminal investigations

In certain cases, Liss Products V.O.F may be legally required to share your data in connection with a governmental tax or criminal investigation. In such cases, we are compelled to share your data, but we will oppose this as far as the law allows us to.

Retention periods

We retain your data for as long as you are a customer of ours. This means we retain your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you inform us of this, we will also treat this as a request to be forgotten. This also means that we do not retain your data for longer than two years from the last point of contact or transaction, unless there is a statutory basis requiring otherwise. Under applicable administrative obligations, we are required to retain invoices containing your (personal) data; we will therefore retain this data for as long as the applicable statutory period runs. However, staff no longer have access to your customer profile and the documents we produced in connection with your order.

Your rights

Under applicable Dutch and European law, you as a data subject have certain rights regarding the personal data processed by or on behalf of us. Below, we explain what these rights are and how you can exercise them. In principle, to prevent misuse, we only send copies of your data to the email address already known to us. If you wish to receive the data at a different email address or, for example, by post, we will ask you to verify your identity. We keep records of requests that have been handled; in the case of a request to be forgotten, we keep anonymised records. You will receive all copies of data in the machine-readable data format we use within our systems. You always have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) if you suspect that we are using your personal data incorrectly.

Right of access

You always have the right to view the data we process (or have processed) that relates to you or is traceable to you. You can submit such a request to our privacy contact person. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send a copy of all data to the email address known to us, along with an overview of the processors holding this data, stating the category under which we have stored this data.

Right to rectification

You always have the right to have the data we process (or have processed) that relates to you or is traceable to you corrected. You can submit such a request to our privacy contact person. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send a confirmation to the email address known to us that the data has been corrected.

Right to restriction of processing

You always have the right to have the data we process (or have processed) that relates to you or is traceable to you restricted. You can submit such a request to our privacy contact person. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send a confirmation to the email address known to us that the data will no longer be processed until the restriction is lifted.

Right to data portability

You always have the right to have the data we process (or have processed) that relates to you or is traceable to you carried out by another party. You can submit such a request to our privacy contact person. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send copies of all data about you that we have processed, or that has been processed by other processors or third parties on our behalf, to the email address known to us. In such a case, it is likely that we can no longer continue providing our services, as the secure linking of data files can then no longer be guaranteed.

Right to object and other rights

In applicable cases, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of Liss Products V.O.F. If you object, we will immediately halt the data processing pending resolution of your objection. If your objection is well-founded, we will make copies of the data we process (or have processed) available to you and will then permanently cease processing. You also have the right not to be subjected to automated individual decision-making or profiling. We do not process your data in a manner to which this right applies. If you believe otherwise, please contact our privacy contact person.

Google Analytics

Our website places cookies from the American company Google, as part of the "Analytics" service. We use this service to track and obtain reports on how visitors use the website.

This processor may be required by applicable law and regulations to provide access to this data. We collect information about your browsing behaviour and share this data with Google. Google may combine this information with other data sets and use it to track your movements across the internet. Google uses this information to, among other things, offer targeted advertising (Adwords) and other Google services and products.

Third-party cookies

If software solutions from third parties use cookies, this is stated in this privacy notice.

Changes to this privacy policy

We reserve the right at all times to change our privacy policy. However, this page will always show the most recent version. If the new privacy policy has consequences for the way we process data we have already collected about you, we will notify you of this by email.
